The “Hurleybeast” is some kind of big and very noisy fish that’s on Ephedia. Mephiso mentions it in episode 25 (”Home : part 1″), and Nathaniel also mentions it as being Talia’s (not Auriana’s !) favourite food… even though he admits he has no idea what it is. 

As for a similar meat, the Hurleybeast steak looks a lot like a tuna steak. Sort of. “Bon appetit !” ;)

(Eh, looks like there is now a thing that both Mephisto and Talia loves, and that’s canon ! ;) I guess the Talisto shippers will make good use of this information.)

Okay I’m calling “bs” on this lol

I’ve watched the show 1.5-ish times (watched season 1 and then went through specific episodes again for the specific reason of finding evidence of the following claim) and I’m pretty sure there are many hints on Mephisto having an incredibly subtle but massive crush on Auri. Not saying that Talisto can’t happen, but I have yet to spot evidence of it.

Corn symbolizes, in my eyes, the greatest and most plentiful harvest of the season. In my mind it ushers in the end of summer as it grows to fruition and then the end of fall as its ready to be harvested. In the eyes of agricultural scientists, corn is seen as the most important crop. Every part of the plant can be used, it grows in a wide range of environments, and feeds people all over the world. Its a valuable tool in spells and magic during the harvest. 

If you want to grow your own sweet corn, but I assure you that store bought corn is just as effective.

What to do with Corn

Here’s a good tutorial for making them. And p.s. in many grocery stores you can choose to buy just the husks without the corn if you’re not feeling the corn part.

Its really easy to wrap things up and tie it off. If you find some sort of biodegradable string/twine you can easily bury them in the ground without worrying about pollution.

You can offer all sorts of things related to corn; from the dried husks, the corn itself, a food item, etc. Corn is a good offering for gods or deities related to fertility and harvest. Including but not all: Demeter, Freyja, Freyr, and Osiris.
