I think 12 year old me would just be stunned if she knew me now. Like horrified but also in awe at the same time.
12 yo me would be amazed… a little bit put off by the short hair but probably would cry tears of joy about how strong I’ve become.
autumn is really like. i brought you some sunlight from when you were 10. didn't the world feel so bright to you then? i'll drench your hands in syrupy nostalgia, so everything you make is stained bittersweet. i'll ruffle your hair with an ice-kissed breeze--it'll be the kindest touch you've had in years. you finally feel like a part of something grander. i'm the last warm hand you hold before winter surrender.
We’re all having “hard conversations” about racism, police brutality, and #BlackLivesMatter I hope.
You’ve probably noticed that detractors often use the same “racist talking points” in response. Here’s a researched and sourced guide to help you answer, for the times you may get stuck.

Corn symbolizes, in my eyes, the greatest and most plentiful harvest of the season. In my mind it ushers in the end of summer as it grows to fruition and then the end of fall as its ready to be harvested. In the eyes of agricultural scientists, corn is seen as the most important crop. Every part of the plant can be used, it grows in a wide range of environments, and feeds people all over the world. Its a valuable tool in spells and magic during the harvest.
If you want to grow your own sweet corn, but I assure you that store bought corn is just as effective.

What to do with Corn
🌽 Poppets with corn husk dolls

Here’s a good tutorial for making them. And p.s. in many grocery stores you can choose to buy just the husks without the corn if you’re not feeling the corn part.
🌽 Spell packets with the husk
Its really easy to wrap things up and tie it off. If you find some sort of biodegradable string/twine you can easily bury them in the ground without worrying about pollution.
🌽 Food and cooking (Especially good for celebrating the harvest or Sabbats)
Here are 33 corn recipes (Food Network). And here are 57 corn recipes (Epicurious).
🌽 Offerings
You can offer all sorts of things related to corn; from the dried husks, the corn itself, a food item, etc. Corn is a good offering for gods or deities related to fertility and harvest. Including but not all: Demeter, Freyja, Freyr, and Osiris.
🌽 Spells
You can use the above correspondences (or your own!) in a number of spells.
It’s a great ingredient for sun magic🌾🌽🌞
Missed opportunity: Cornespondances
